My wife got her AOS application approved. Three years and 5 days after filing I-485 and 2.5 years after my application was approved. And everyone I know got their GCs on the same day for the entire family.
My understanding is that it was not because of name check. Judging from her case history, her application was merely forgotten somewhere in TX service center. Once they re-discovered it last year and sent it to their SF local branch it took about half a year.
