New Year suspense

Yesterday my H1B petition approval was sent to me from CA. As I have just found, there are still vacant slots in the Embassy's schedule for Dec 27. Taking into account that the Embassy will be closed the whole first week of Jan now it is the race against a moving deadline. I hope the package is to be delivered tomorrow but simultaneously the number of slots left will be decreasing. If I get a visa this year, I will be CA-bound in a couple weeks. Otherwise, we are talking about mid Jan at best. I am thrilled (and having a second round technical interview tonight :) ).
